This has comes up in #19 and #22, both those company are producing fully open source software, but the hardware is not (or can not) be availlable as open-source hardware (OSH).
In #22@lamby propose a new section or a flag for those case.
For now my proposal would be:
a section fully dedicated to hardware and soft + hard organizations (so we will have software, soft+hard, and Defunct)
in the hardware section we explicitly add a sentence explaining the potential caveat that OSH is really hard, and sometimes impossible.
I think that would be enough for now, and later on we could start more fine-grain differences if we wish so between OSS + closed hardware, and OSS + OSH.
