format string syntax: currenly there's limited format specifiers and syntax that aren't especially to standard JS conventions or alternatives such as classic C printf or .NET toString format specifiers. For example "#.##" will correctly show two decimal places for random floats, but also show them for ints per "#.00" in .NET.
