I've played the several multiple alien mods around. Congregation, super revolver, etc.
Most all have a problem that appears periodically where the FPS drops very low and you float off the map.
I've heard this is due to collisions of the aliens' models inside their vent system and it starts sapping CPU power.
The game engine not designed for more than the or 3 aliens it creates in the campaign.
The main issue with the low FPS bug is that is seems to be stored when you save the game.
Thus merely going to main menu or even exiting the game and restartig does not clear it.
Obviously the older mods were made diferently given the older tools.
However, I've experienced these issues with more recent mods too where multiple aliens are present.
Is there any way with newer tools to detect that the aliens have collided and make the offending models despawn?
I think I've seen a setting that is for locking a vent? I suspect this could help but may also hinder if there is only
one vent such as in the morgue which is notorious for this bug due to only being a lone vent to enter/exit from.
Anyway, it would be interesting to know if such a check and balanace could be implemented thus creating more
stability in multiple alien mods.
