First, excellent script. As someone who started with Sketchup and then moved to blender, this is a very welcome addon.

Second, I'm not sure if you are still maintaining the script or not, but if you are it would be awesome if it could be improved in order to use it to make through holes in shapes, just as in the Sketchup tool. In other words, if you could push/pull a face all the way up coplanar with another face that it would terminate in a hole. Screenshot shows what behavior you currently get.

Script does not alter the end face geometry, or eliminate the extruded face to create a thru hole. Thanks again.
