Similar to how we can bulk upload Resources to Manifold, we would like the ability to bulk upload Reader Accounts and Maker Accounts. It would be great if the bulk upload could also attach Reader accounts as Editors to a Project as well.
Why is this feature important? Who does it help?
For courses using Manifold where students are adding Resources or Texts, it would be more efficient to be able to bulk load students into Manifold using a modification of the course enrollment Excel sheet rather than the instructor/Manifold Admin spending time adding everyone to Manifold as a Reader and then adding them as Makers (we want them to get credit for their work).
User Stories
We have had courses with 25-200+ students work as Project Editors in Manifold. While students can create their own Reader accounts, we've found that it is easier in most cases for us to do this to make sure all students are getting access to Manifold at the same time and we can load them as Editors to the Project at the same time--we don't have to constantly check back for stranglers who haven't created their Reader accounts by a given deadline. Adding Readers and Makers into Manifold for a class of around 200+ students takes a significant amount of time.
