uses an ancient version of MacGap

Is this still the case? |
Ping? |
Apparently this has been fixed in git last june maccman/macgap-rb#5 but the updated gem has not been published: https://rubygems.org/gems/macgap/ |
I don't use the gem nor ruby. Is this something you could sort out? |
An update for the gem to use macgap 2 would be cool too. @colindean, feeling generous? 😄 I just started using macgap today, I'm a ruby guy and could contribute on that end but know nothing about objective-c (or macgap). |
Oh, I feel generous pretty often. It's finding the time to make something of it that is hard! On Jun 29, 2015, 14:36, at 14:36, Benjamin Wood [email protected] wrote:

@colindean I understand completely! 😃 |
I just got bit badly by this one, in colindean/irccloud.app#9. Looks like installing the
macgap
helper gem uses a version of MacGap released two years ago, and it doesn't have much of functionality available in MacGap 1, let alone MacGap 2.The instructions to use that gem should probably be removed, or marked with a caveat that it uses a considerably older version.
It would, however, still be incredibly nice to have that gem available and working correctly. It's greatly simplified development of my little app.
