The Engine has a hard-coded version, currently on line 78.

public class Engine implements ControlAPI {
	public static final VersionInfo VERSION_INFO = new VersionInfo(1, 7, 3, "SNAPSHOT");

This should be replaced with the version given in the pom.xml file, see for example:
