  • OS version: 11
  • Device: Motorola One 5G Ace
  • Lemmur version: 0.8.0

Describe the bug

When i try to add my instance i get "instance not found". When i tried removing the default lemmy.ml instance and adding it again i got the same message and had to clear the app storage

Steps to reproduce

  1. Tap bust (bottom right)
  2. Tap "Add account"
  3. Tap hamburger menu (bottom right)
  4. Tap "Add instance"
  5. Tap "instance url" box
  6. Type "lemmy.ca" and wait 5 seconds
  7. "Instance not found" appears above the "instance url" box
  8. Tap the "x" at top left
  9. Long press "LEMMY.ML"
  10. Tap "Remove instance"
  11. Tap "yes"
  12. Tap "Add instance"
  13. Tap "instance url" box and type "lemmy.ml"
  14. Wait 5 seconds
  15. "Instance not found" appears above "instance url" box

Expected behavior

The instance should be found and be able to be added

Might be an android specific bug, Just tested this on a Windows build and was able to add an instance successfully.
