Bug/Defect description

There are several places in the code where the code is using deprecated or future deprecated code functionality

Steps to reproduce

Run pytest and the warnings will show

These warnings should be addressed.

Additional Context

A lot of these warnings are a result of updating the requirements of LDAR-Sim.
