This is the release tag for the KiCad docs. There are the regular github generated release packags and the files named kicad-doc-4.0.0.{tar.gz,zip} which is attached to this release is precompiled docs. If you are packaging a stable build or anything else, it is recommended to just use the precompiled docs.
