Adding the priority label because who are we without a logo 😀

And also pinging @cormullion as the omnipresent infinite creative resource of the Juliaverse. Maybe you have (another) great idea?

Well thank you! Not going with AI this time? 😀

Ooh that's pretty good. What about if instead of staying parallel, the three threads combine together to form a julia logo?

Although, there is something nice about the word-play with them staying parallel

i was thinking they should be thread-safe-ly separate....🤔

One of the main goals of this package is to handle the "combining" of results from different threads safely (something Threads.@threads doesn't do, and has caused a lot of problems because often people do need to combine those results)

They could converge?

A little more abstract -

nice, but feels a little too similar to Jane Street logo

maybe a sheet bend could be appropriate? it's a very iconic knot

yknow, threads coming together, interacting, then separating. ofc filled in with julia colors

yes, go for it!

I kind of like the knot idea (although intertwining is what we try to avoid as much as possible 😉)

well, sheet bends are notably famous for having very good simplicity-effectiveness-ratio. it's about as "little" knot as is possible to bend two ends of a rope together. I'll see if I can make it look nice and Julian

My maths isn't good enough to construct them unfortunately... 😀 Perhaps a Makie-wizard could do it...

If I'm not mistaken, the knot is known "Weaver’s Knot" or "sheet bend". In case that helps 😄

I like the vertically aligned one here the best I think. I do agree the knot is pretty, but a knot in the graph is definitely not something we want to do!

I'm fine with either design though if there's a big push in one direction. The logo doesn't need to be taken too seriously, and there's something quite elegant about that knot graphic.

my vision was something like this

but---I'm just having fun with it :) wouldn't characterize my feelings as a "big push" either way. any logo is good

less knotty threads?
