The system has not been tested on a Galileo at this point in time, but it is likely to work almost entirely.
Except for these caveats:
OLED Mura Correction Images
Before you do anything, run galileo-mura-extractor (packaged as galileo-mura here) and save the resulting /tmp/mura/blob.tar which should be a tarball with PNGs inside. They are mura correction images which may not be replaceable.
Platform Firmware (BIOS/UEFI) management
Has not been tested (no hardware yet).
Update at least once by booting and using your Steam Deck once. You should be prompted to do a day-one update for the BIOS. Do it.
At some point we will test the day-one updates on our system, but it will require us to have the hardware in-hand.
Using fwupd to update on Galileo should not be tried at this point in time. It is unknown what will happen.
At some point we will test fwupd on our system, but it will require us to have the hardware in-hand.
(Update) Platform firmware update support in #229.
Sound
The sound stack is entirely different from the LCD model (Jupiter).
Our configuration is thus untested on Galileo. See also Fixed with #216.
