I wish to be able to ignore certain terms when sorting through categories in the library.
Essentially the same setting as the game sorter, but for categories as well.

My main reason is so that I can make use of ascii emoticons Something like this, but properly sorted:

That imo doesn't make much sense to add, it's way too niche of a use case. It would make more sense to add an option to specify category icons.

That would make a lot more sense, true. I mainly suggested this such that it wouldn't be too intrusive into the current codebase.
