Help! I'm locked out of my account

Lost your SDA files or have they become corrupted? Follow these instructions to fix it. Note: Doing this will result in a 7 day trade and Steam market ban.

  1. Login to your Steam account normally, such as on https://steamcommunity.com

  2. When you're asked for your mobile auth code select "I no longer have access to my Mobile Authenticator codes"

  3. You'll be instructed to remove your authenticator:

  4. Depending on if you have a phone number on your account you'll either need to enter your recovery code (You saved this somewhere safe when first setting up SDA) or receive a text message on your saved phone number.
    If you lost your recovery code, or can not receive text messages you'll need to contact Steam support for further help.

  5. Once you have removed the authenticator from your Steam account, you can setup SDA as normal.

  6. Once SDA is setup, make a backup of your files!
