There have recently been malicious users posting links to malicious versions of SDA in the replies to GitHub issues here.

I remind everyone: Only ever download SDA from the releases page on GitHub: https://github.com/Jessecar96/SteamDesktopAuthenticator/releases

I also strongly recommend against using SDA at all. You should use the official Steam app for maximum security on your Steam accounts. Fake versions of SDA are one reason I recommend against using it, and if for any reason your computer gets compromised an attacker will have full access to your Steam account. The convenience is not worth this risk.
