PowerVR GLQuake History

PowerVR is the company, which used to be called "VideoLogic".

PowerVR Quake involved updated OpenGL customized for the PowerVR 3D chipset and Quake, e.g. OPENGL32.DLL.

Power VR GLQuake Drivers
The first public release of the GLQuake/GLHexen II driver for PowerVR cards (94 KB) has been released by NEC. Thanks Prophet.

Power VR Drivers Released
Yes the PowerVR drivers for GlQuake and Hexen 2 have been released, grab them here. These drivers work for the Matrox m3D, and the Apocalypse 3Dx. (If i'm missing any, please let me know). Thanks to everyone who let me know.

The new drivers for GLQuake (Also work for Hexen2) for all you PowerVR owners have been released. Here be the file hosted locally. (Woah, I missed doin gthat for the past couple days) The guys behind these cool new cards are NEC.

The GLQuake and GLHexen II driver is available now!
You can now download this driver for Apocalypse 3D, Apocalypse 3Dx and Apocalypse 5D. This FREE software enables GLQuake, GLQuakeWorld or GLHexen II to run under PowerVR.

Before you install the driver, PLEASE make sure you read the readme.txt file included in the zip file. This will make it much easier for you to get the most out of the game.

Follow the instructions below for installing the PowerVR versions of GLQuake, GLQuakeWorld, or GLHexen II.

New PowerVR GL Drivers
Apparently new versions of the PowerVR OpenGL driver for Quake II and PowerVR OpenGL driver for Quake and Hexen II have been released on the Apocalypse 3D Software page. There are also new Version 4.1 Windows drivers for the Apocalypse 3D there. Thanks Frans P. de Vries of 3D Action Gamers'.

GL Drivers
A pair of new drivers for you guys that just love that GL experience:

* New PowerVR drivers for Quake, Quake2, and Hexen2 have all been released on the VideoLogic Homepage. I gotta give the PowerVR guys credit where it is due, they are ALWAYS working on ways to squeeze more performance and kill bugs. Great job in supporting the users. -Blue's
* The H3D guys are also releasing some new drivers if you are a lucky owner of some H3D Goggles make sure and grab a copy of the new drivers from the homepage at http://www.h3dmedia.com/Quake/
