ZEN AND THE ART OF TACOS

DESCRIPTION

Zen and the Art of Tacos is a web-based application for anxious taco lovers. Users are able to generate random inspirational and relaxing quotes by clicking on the taco. Quotes are able to be saved and seen on the favorites page. Quotes may also be removed from favorites.

Learning Goals

• Display knowledge of React, Cypress, and Router fundamentals, as well as capability to create user stories, use Github Issues and Projects, and design and build an intuitive UI/UX.

SETUP

1. visit repo
2. clone onto local machine
3. cd into project
4. Run npm i and npm start
5. Enjoy!

TESTING

This project utilized Cypress. To run tests: -cd into project -CLI: npx run cypress open

PREVIEW

CONTEXT

This project was the final solo project for MOD 3, wrapping up all that we've learned about React, Cypress, Router, user stories, projects, and UI/UX design.

CHALLENGES/WINS

Challenges:

• designing and building a web-application from scratch
• troubleshooting Cypress
• time management and organization with little oversight

Wins:

• feeling more comfortable with React, Cypress, and Router
• exposure to ground-up UI/UX design and implementation
