\section{Application for the position of XXX}
\vspace{10pt}
Dear Hiring Managers,
\vspace{10pt}
I am writing to express my strong interest in the XXX at XXX. As a recent Ph.D. graduate with experience in system security, I am excited about the opportunity to bring my expertise to contribute to your team.
\vspace{10pt}
During my Ph.D. candidacy, I developed groundbreaking tools and methodologies presented at top-tier conferences such as IEEE S\&P and ACM CCS. Notably, my research contributions include the development of DifuzzRTL, an RTL fuzzer for RISC-V CPUs, and SpecDoctor, the first RTL fuzzer to identify transient execution vulnerabilities. Even after shifting my focus to cloud and data security, I successfully led research projects such as FairLearning, which systematically protects the training data from untrusted machine learners. While FairLearning is still under review, I am confident that this research holds significant value and will find a suitable venue soon.
\vspace{10pt}
Additionally, I have demonstrated proficiency in leading research projects with a team, as evidenced by my contributions to TeeMate (i.e., Intel SGX-based efficient confidential serverless computing) and Laputa (i.e., secure policy enforcement in Apache Spark). I spearheaded both projects with my original ideas, guiding junior Ph.D. students to completion. These endeavors not only expanded my understanding of cloud data security but also honed my team management skills.
\vspace{10pt}
I am particularly drawn to XXX because of its reputation for cutting-edge technology and commitment to research. I am confident that my expertise in system security, combined with my passion for advancing technology, makes me a valuable asset to your team.
\vspace{10pt}
Thank you for considering my application. I am eager to contribute to XXX’s success and would welcome the opportunity to discuss how my skills and experiences align with your needs. I look forward to the possibility of an interview to further discuss how I can contribute to your team.
\vspace{10pt}
Sincerely,
\vspace{1pt}
