Experimentation can be done to determine how scalable our system is based on simulated throughput vs actual throughput for a given number of hash groups.

  • When we increase the simulated throughput, we would expect the actual throughput to scale linearly initially, then taper off to a fixed limit
  • When we scale up the number of hash group servers, we can expect the taper of to come at a higher throughput
