Detailed description of what you want to happen

When there are 100s of thousands of results per page, then there could be 10,000+ pages, and then it loads slowly.
The problem could be that we render all steps in the DOM but only set them "display:none" if they are not shown.

Upload a screenshot or reference an example if possible
