How to use normal font instead of bold for "pwd" while keeping the bg color? #555

From searching issues, I found out that I could do the following to make pwd use normal font instead of bold:

set -U tide_pwd_color_dirs normal
set -U tide_pwd_color_anchors normal

But after doing the above overrides, the bg color tide_pwd_bg_color won't display.
Is that possible to use normal font with bg color?
Thanks a lot.

Edited: I am using rainbow style.
