In an information system analysis course (IF14), my students transclude (e.g. include by reference) the image of a diagram in theoretical memos based on coding memos.
This process requires them to upload pictures to another hosting service, such as Lutim. The main problem with such services is that pictures cannot be stored for more than 1 year.
Instead, pictures could be stored in Cassandre itself (for example, as a CouchDB document attachment). Because it might be hard to "hack" the Markdown editor to add this feature, a solution could be to make the image a memo by itself (with a title, etc.).
I am aware that Cassandre is not designed to be used by engineers. However, I saw that social science users often include pictures in field memos. So I suppose they experience the same kind of problems and could be also interested by such a feature.
