Can’t unmute the microphone even though it was enabled when joining the room. #290

[Affected Versions]:

  • Firefox Release 99.0
  • Chrome 100.0.4896.75

[Affected Platforms]:

  • Windows 10x64

[Prerequisites]:

  • Hubs Cloud services are set up.

[Steps to reproduce]:

  1. Create or join a room.
  2. Microphone permissions are allowed.
  3. Observe the Voice button

[Expected results]:

  • The microphone is enabled.

[Actual results]:

  • The microphone icon is striked through.

[Notes]:

  • This can only be reproduced on 1 stack (svtesthub.com) and it works as expected on other stacks.
  • Clicking the Voice button does not enable the microphone, even though the user can see the mic bar moving when talking.

I'm facing the same issue "Can’t unmute the microphone even though it was enabled when joining the room"
Can you please let me know if you were able to solve this.

Hi @dvdsmthdvd
I have tried increasing instance/server capacity which solved the issue.
Along with that after updating to latest version, i haven't not encountered any issues with microphone.
