[Affected Versions]:

  • all

[Affected Platforms]:

  • all

[Prerequisites]:

  • The Hubs Cloud stack is set up.
  • The user is already logged into a room.

[Steps to reproduce]:

  1. Go to preferences - Misc.
  2. On the Show Nametag dropdown, select "Always".
  3. Change the nametag visibility distance to a lower value.
  4. Return to the room to see if the changes took place.

[Expected results]:

  • The nametag is displayed withing the selected distance.

[Actual results]:

  • The nametag does not take the distance into consideration.

[Notes]:

  • If "Always" display nametag should not take into consideration the visibility distance, then I consider we should lock or hide the distance slider for this option since it might be confusing for the end user.

We don't have a way to disable preferences based on other preferences but I'd like to confirm with design that this is something that we want before adding this.

I wouldn't call it a bug, I think this is by design.
