Contributing to HomoScriptor

Thank you for your interest in contributing to HomoScriptor! We appreciate your efforts in helping us expand and enhance the dataset. Together, we can create a valuable resource for the language model community.

To contribute, please follow the guidelines below:

Getting Started

To get started, follow these steps:

  1. Fork the HomoScriptor repository to your GitHub account.
  2. Create a new branch for your contribution
  3. Make your desired changes or additions to the relevant JSON file(s).
  4. Ensure your changes adhere to the existing data format and maintain consistency with other tasks.

Submitting a Pull Request

When you're ready to submit your contribution, follow these steps:

  1. Click on the "Pull Requests" tab.
  2. Click the "New Pull Request" button.
  3. Provide a descriptive title and summary for your pull request, explaining the changes you made.
  4. Submit the pull request and wait for the project maintainers to review your contribution.

Contribution Guidelines

  • Only make changes to the JSON files related to task instructions and outputs. Avoid modifying other project files unless necessary.
  • Ensure your contributions maintain high-quality standards and adhere to the existing data structure.
  • If you're adding a new category, ensure it aligns with the project's goals and contributes meaningfully to language model fine-tuning.
  • If you're modifying an existing task, clearly explain the rationale behind your changes and ensure they improve the overall dataset.
  • Be responsive to any feedback or suggestions provided by the project maintainers during the review process.
