Intro:
Issue occurred on a mc1.20.1 Server using Fabric 0.14.25, with Create Fabric v0.1.0-create0.5.1-mc1.20.x, and Bit And Chisels v2.7.3.
Issue is reproducible in any instance with these 2 mods installed, including in Single Player.
Issue:
When a Bit passes through a Chute and generates particles, it causes a Client Crash to desktop.
Reproduction steps:
Make a chute
a bent chute Always causes the crash, while a normal chute only sometimes causes the crash
Drop any type of Bit into the chute, including throwing from your player inventory, off of a belt, etc
Example Crash Log:
Posted on mclo.gs, for syntax highlighting and anonymity https://mclo.gs/K0QLe2n
Observations:
The crash blames an issue with generating particle effects when passing through the chute.
Temporary Fix:
Have Sodium Extra mod installed
ESC > Settings > Video > Particles > Disable All Particles
Example Setup to Reproduce issue:
Drop a bit into the Chute in Any Way, including throwing from your player inventory, off of a belt, etc
Note: The Chute doesn't need to be Bent, but being Bent ALWAYS causes the crash when a bit passes through
