I am trying to understand whether the cost of storage resources for charging from the electricity market is included in calculations of the total system costs corresponding to the output in the costs.csv file.
I am on v0.3.3, and here it does not seem to be the case. I summed the total costs by technology in the NetRevenue.csv file and this cost exceeded the cost presented in the costs.csv file with an amount that exactly matched the column Charge_cost.
It is not entirely clear whether these charging costs should be part of the system costs, but disregarding them I think risks a biased comparison of different power systems if based purely on the system costs. Incorporating both the system costs and the electricity prices in this case results in a more objective comparison.
Could you help me clarify?
Best,
Anton
