it is dependency for octave instrumentation which is in debian, but gpib is not packaged, so i googled debian gpib and somehow got to your package :)

linux-gpib easily available from the debian repository will be very appreciated from many people that not have an informatics/Linux background. Anyway, I still don't understand why linux-gpib kernel module is not already upstream (I mean in the Torvalds linux branch). Someone know why? I tried to search in the mailing list without success.
