Love this idea! Although maybe it would be easier to use as a jpeg or png instead of pdf?

@sckott, how difficult do you think this is? This seems more like a nice-to-have so we can definitely push this until v1.3, but if it's easy to put in there, may as well throw it in with v1.2. Thoughts? Putting as v1.2 for now..

Just FYI on the PDF vs. png … pdfs are easier to use as part of manuscripts … illustrator is the most go to tool and almost all journals want pdfs ! Just a thought

Unfortunately, it's not clear how we'd do this, so I say move to next version
