  • User calls endpoint requesting DNS validation
  • You generate TXT record, like 43878690579693277683959113188963.lemmings.world with value 21517105562488824126298979396273
  • You verify that the domain has the records
  • Next time the user can claim the instance

  • Mobilizon

This would also be required for Owncast, as it only accepts likes and follows. The posts and dms it makes are outwards only.
