Issue with polymode (inline)

I noticed that you have a workaround for mm-mode in your code because rainbow-delimiters will end up mismatching as it is states below in your code:
;; `mmm-mode' is weird and apparently needs this hack, because otherwise we
;; may end up thinking matched parentheses are mismatched.

This also happens in polymode. Not sure how to adapt the workaround to polymode. Can you please advise
