Similarly to report in xud ctl

mainnet > report
Please click on https://github.com/ExchangeUnion/xud/issues/new?assignees=kilrau&labels=bug&template=bug-report.md&title=Short%2C+concise+description+of+the+bug, describe your issue, drag and drop the file "mainnet.log" which is located in "/home/d/.xud-docker/mainnet/logs" into your browser window and submit your issue.

we'd want a report feature that gathers logs of all active clients in one place on the local file system and gives instructions similar to above. Let's think through where this feature could sit, how it looks like and how files are gathered (electron app vs web app) @peartobear

What I'd recommend:

For MVP releases

  • Have report as a command in console sidebar

For later stage of feature rich releases

  • A dedicated Report sidebar inside settings tab that could pull mainnet logs and open up email prompt with that file as attachment and mails to [email protected]. Works for both electron app and WebUI. Redirect user to console option if mainnet logs can't be pulled in case access is denied.

* Have `report` as a command in console sidebar

That should already work.
