STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM: Despite being referenced in multiple US Marine Corps and US Army doctrinal publications, there is currently no standardized way to depict the mission task of rearward passage of lines, which “Occurs when a unit passes through another unit’s positions while moving away from the enemy.” (MCWP 3-01 and ADRP 1-02)
PROPOSED SOLUTION: Propose the addition of Rearward Passage of Lines symbol under the Mission Task entity of the Control Measures Appendix of MIL-STD-2525D.
