After latest design update, that was really a drawback since it looks bad compared to the clean Android version, seeing existing devices stopped working.
I have 3 mesh lamps at home, that every now and then, they flash in yellow. First of all because there is no way to disable the WiFi reset mechanism (this is a clear usability issue that Espressif never addressed). It can be because old switches do 3 on/offs from time to time but still not giving the user a clearer method to reset the lamps is quite bad. I advised about this a while ago, but nothing was done. Sadly lamps are quite unusable like this since it happens at least 3 times a month.
Now with the new App for iPhone you can add devices but not see them. So I add in iPhone but the I can control them only by my Android phone.
device info: iPad mini 4
Software version: 14.6
That said I like mesh technology and the way it can work together In the local network with a Mobile App. But I’m disappointed by the IPhone upgrade since it added just more colors and a new look, that does not add anything more than that. And it’s buggy to say the least. It really needs an upgrade. In my opinion I see no reason why it should differ from the clear and more polished, well designed Android version.
