Not receiving new messages

I'm using purple-mattermost 2.1-1 (Arch AUR package) with Mattermost server 7.5.1. This is via bitlbee-libpurple 3.6-1.

When i logon, a lot of message history is sent to various channels. However, i do not receive any new messages sent afterwards. If i log out and log back in again, the messages appear in the initial history that is sent.

Let me know if there's any other info i can give to help debug.
