[Feature Request] Exit AOD via finger print sensor #30
Comments
Might take some time because afaik it requires an accessibility service. |
There must be something to read onFingerprint event or something similar maybe. |
That's one reason why I prefer not to use tap to wake. Pressing the power button and having the reader scan my thumb while it's there is an efficient setup. Unfortunately AOD is really slow to wake on power button press- I suppose it's because the screen is technically turning off, then back on? Resolving that (if possible) would be the better way to fix this problem, imo. |
This is a very important feature for me because my phone has the fingerprint sensor on the power button, on the side. Isn't there a way to listen to "device unlocked" events? Isn't the app using some sort of "device locked" event to show the screen? |
It would be great if it will be implemented as well as #71. Now it feels a bit buggy |
Describe the solution you'd like
Option to exit the AOD screen (and already unlock the device) via the finger print sensor
I love this app. However, my phone has no home button so the only option to disable the AOD is to double tap the screen. Meanwhile my phone features a finger print sensor which can be used to directly unlock the device when locked. I would love to have this feature for this AOD display as well (either directly unlocking or at least exiting the AOD).
