Parallax occlusion mapping (POM) makes blocks look like their modeled in ways to make indentations in the surface that use graphic tracings to real time map an indent into the flat block. research POM Resource Packs.
Physically Based Rendering (PBR) makes it so that textures have shine or gloss or roughness in certain areas to make the texture feel more alive or real. there are texture packs that harness POM and PBR togther to be very realistic but those cost money a lot of the time. I would love to be able to make my own POM PBR texture pack in quiver.
