Right now, if Barcode Scanner is not present, you get the "whoops" message
and a back click takes you to the market to install. Should take you
directly to the market to install and tell you why (the whoops should not
happen in that case).

hi Charlie,
I just installed new rom (ultimate droid 9) and decided to test this. what
happens is
you pick scan and the black box flashes up then screen goes to the isbn error
page.
if you hit back you see a black box that only says yes/no.
I will install the error logging aps later this morning and attach a log here.

Thanks David.

Yeah, I have seen that one too. Over the weekend I tried uninstalling both (bw
and
barcode scanner) and then had that same experience. In the next few days I
should be
able to work on some enhancements and issues again, this is one of the things I
will
try to hit.

Fixed now, works great in Froyo. Need to test on earlier versions.

Seems to work very well in Froyo, but still clumsy in Eclair (tested on Droid w
2.1). I don't think this is a BW issue, but I'll leave this open and look into
it further.

Hey Charlie,
I tested a bit on froyo and it seemed fine.
I moved back to CM 5.0.8 (based on 2.1) and it still works fine.

Now that froyo has hit ASOP I expect a cyanogen mod version of froyo soon and
will test it there too.
I really need to remember to backup the DB more often as I keep foolishly
deleting everything LOL

Thanks David. Last time I looked it was smooth on 2.2, but I had issues on 2.1
with the Droid. This is a low priority thing right now since it works on 2.2,
but I am keeping it open until I can look into a bit more on older revs.

I had the option to use the barcode scanner or google goggles. When i cboose
vogvles(for books without bar code) it didnt show the camera icon so i couldnt
pbotograph the book in goggles. Too bad as this would be a great feature. SO I
MADE THE batcode scanner the default. Now i cant unxo that choice. Ireinstalled
bookworm hoping goggles would work but now i cant get the choice back.
