Paying for MTurk

Hi - are we expected to pay personally to use MTurk for our project, or is there a class account we can use that has already paid for HITs?

Hello @DSharm , you are expected to pay personally for MTurk. You can perform a very basic task to keep the expenses as low as possible. If you don't want to do that you can also request your friends to be the annotators for your task.

Okay, good to know - if we end up actually wanting to use MTurk for our final project, the cost will increase significantly (as a benchmark, I spent $40 to have 6 documents coded with 3 flags, using 3 coders each, since I wanted to pay them at least minimum wage. I have 99 documents total and more flags I would like to add). Are there options to get funding for this?
