In our community site, we are using your event manager plugin, which is a very good elgg plugin, by the way: a must have !
However, we think that the event program feature could be enhanced by regrouping slots in some kind of container slot to be able to group time slots under categories such as plenary session, breakout session etc
What do you think of this feature enhancement?
Best regards,
Olivier

Why not create multiple day tabs to group time slots? You can have multiple tabs for the same day, and you can rename them so they represent 'Plenary session' or whatever you like...
Alternatively slots already have a slot set... however that serves a different purpose
Because we have got a lot of plenary sessions and using tabs for both days and plenary sessions would increase the number of tabs (for instance, 2 plenary sessions per days on 5 days -> 10 tabs).
A high number of tabs would make the event manager less user friendly:
bad overview of the event: mix of days and sessions
heavy program registration process: the user has to click on each tab
Good to hear you are intensively using this plugin with all its features. I understand the need for the extra grouping. I will mark it as a Feature Request.
If you would be able to fund this feature, please contact me at [email protected]
