What problem does this address?

The standard footer of the theme links to http://wordpress.org
Of course this redirects to https://wordpress.org

Several SEO tools complain that the website is linking to a redirect.

What is your proposed solution?

Change HTTP into HTTPS in line 160 in header-footer-grid/Core/Builder/Footer.php

No.
