The distinction is confusing, as Register can be interpreted as already having an account, like register with the front desk, I think Sign in and Register are too close in English and have never seen those terms used on English-language sites and I believe it's better if we use English-language conventions rather than what the Spanish devs came up with.
For example, "Create Account" is explicitly clear that you're new and this is the first step. "Join" is another option.
I prefer, for both the minimum number of syllables and the clarity of actions to take:

Sign up
