Date formatting unclear #1837
Comments
Hi there! I’m a first-time contributor and was hoping to help out with this issue. I noticed nobody was assigned to it, but if there’s already a solution in progress I’m happy to try helping out elsewhere. Thanks! |
Hey, I can help with this. I have worked on solving a similar issue earlier. |
Hi, I'm a collaborator for the first time, how can I start contributing? |
All: I just wrote the issue, but i think if you want to contribute you can go over to the slack channel and talk to someone there: http://join-our-slack.code4socialgood.org/ |
Just a suggestion, but since it can get confusing trying to figure out whether the first section is days or months, could the month abbreviation be printed? example: 23-Oct-2018? |
As i understand in the US when writing the date using slashes it means that the first two digits are describing the month, but in our application this is instead the day of month:
My suggestion is to change the date formatting to use something different than slashes, as having the month first may confuse international users. Maybe this formatting would be good: 2018-08-15
