How are you?
Could I know how you setup trigger when used Sreams7 for multi camera?
If possible, I would like to know which trigger(hardware & and software) used.
Also, I wonder how it works with trigger function already in Streams7.
It will be great if there is some kind of blueprint or drawing showing how to set up.
Thank you for your time.
I am looking forward to hearing from you soon.
KIM

Hi @trkim117,
The hardware trigger synchronizes the cameras' captures together. In the example of PtGrey Blackfly cameras, they have this internal "heartbeat" that they use for timing when to capture or not, unless you use a hardware trigger which uses a signal through the 6-pin cable and is sent to all cameras at the same time, forcing them to capture 'in sync'.
The stream of imagery being captured isn't saved on your computer unless you tell your software to "capture" the image, but that is different to the what's happening at the camera level. If you want to trigger Streams7 to "take a photo" then that is a different sort of trigger, which you could do with a scheduled task in Task Scheduler or with a e.g. Python script.

Thanks!
So the External trigger adapter and Trigger power supply in Meg's example in Cookbook is the one
like Arduino Nano?
If you use other trigger with STREAM7, could I know the maker and name so I can purchase it from
Amazon?
Thanks
