Club TechBrewers Code of Conduct

Our Pledge

We as members, contributors, and leaders of the Club TechBrewers community pledge to make participation in our community a harassment-free and welcoming experience for everyone, regardless of age, body size, visible or invisible disability, ethnicity, sex characteristics, gender identity and expression, level of experience, education, socio-economic status, nationality, personal appearance, race, religion, or sexual identity and orientation.

Our Standards

Examples of behavior that contributes to a positive environment in the community includes:

  • Showing compassion and consideration for fellow members
  • Valuing and honoring diverse perspectives, ideas, and experiences
  • Owning up to our errors, making amends, and using them as learning opportunities
  • Offering and receiving constructive criticism with respect and humility
  • Prioritizing the well-being and interests of the community as a whole

Examples of unacceptable behavior by participants include:

  • Refrain from using language or imagery of a sexual nature.
  • Avoid engaging in trolling, insults, or personal and political topics.
  • Do not engage in any form of harassment, neither public nor private.
  • Respect other's privacy by refraining from sharing their personal information without their consent.
  • Conduct yourself in a manner consistent with professional standards, avoiding behavior that could be considered inappropriate in any setting.

Our Responsibilities

It is the duty of community leaders to make clear and uphold our expectations for appropriate conduct. They will also respond appropriately and fairly to any behavior that they believe is improper, threatening, offensive, or harmful to the community.

Community leaders are accountable for and have the right to remove any comments, commits, code, issues, and other contributions that do not follow this code of conduct. When necessary, they will explain their moderation decisions.

Scope

This code of conduct is applicable in all community spaces as well as in situations where someone is publicly representing the community on behalf of the community. Using an official email address, publishing content on social media, or serving as a designated representative at an event—online or in-person.

Enforcement

Reports of harassment, abuse, or other inappropriate behavior can be directed to the community leaders in charge of enforcement at [email protected]. Every complaint will be promptly examined and fairly investigated.

It is the duty of all community leaders to protect the security and privacy of the person reporting any incident.
