Can no longer tame animals, trying to "activate" the food that allows taming causes player to eat it instead.

Describe the bug

As said in the title, trying to "activate" food items that can be used to tame animals result in the player eating the item instead, preventing the player from taming outright.

Steps to reproduce

1: spawn in,
2: spawn in with a food item used to tame an animal, such as dog food or cat food
3: spawn in a tameable animal
4: try to tame said animal with food item by activating it.
5: you eat it.

Expected behavior

I expected to be able to use the food to tame a dog, not eat the dog food.
