The API only accepts correct case citations, it doesn't accept pin or page citations. This means you need to know the exact proper cite to the beginning of the case in order to retrieve it. Currently a bad cite just loops you back to the form to enter a new cite without giving you any indication of what went wrong.
At the very least an error message should appear noting that the cite given failed to retrieve anything and you need to try again.
