I'm using an AMD radeon rx 590 if that helps

I have the same problem, but in my case I'm using Windows 10 and a Nivdia GTX1060 graphics card

That's strange, first things first:

  1. Make sure you are using Minecraft 1.12.2
  2. Try resetting all of Optifine's settings (you can do this by going into your .minecraft folder and deleting optionsof.txt and optionsshaders.txt)
    If that doesn't help, make sure you have the latest drivers for your graphics card, and you are using the latest version of Optifine (for 1.12.2 its F5)

Seems like final.glsl has an error in the code. I would suggest re-downloading the shader and making sure you are using the latest version of Optifine for 1.12.2

many file system under linux is case sensitive, a typo caused this problem, after a rename(#6) it works.

Seems like final.glsl has an error in the code. I would suggest re-downloading the shader and making sure you are using the latest version of Optifine for 1.12.2

Octray was actually designed on 1.15.2 not 1.12.2 so i would suggest trying it in 1.15.2

cough no it was made for 1.12.2 cough
If you guys are having any issues with Octray, please use 1.12.2 and see if they still persist.
1.12.2 is a base version of sorts, as it was developed on 1.12.2, and as its still an experimental shader, Bruce cannot guarantee that it will work at all outside of 1.12.2
