There are several problems with the current approach of running vncviewers within an X11 desktop.

For one thing, when a screenshare comes up while an FVWM menu is displayed, the screenshare doesn't work.

and there are performance issues

Perhaps we should use a program that can switch a VNC session between multiple VNC targets.
