Looking for package maintainers #392
Comments
Hi @AnthonyMastrean , I'm on |
Hi @AnthonyMastrean, I'm happy to take over Ghidra package maintenance. Thanks for your hard work making these packages available up to now. I created the repo on my GH and will set up CI once I can push to Chocolatey. Edit: nm, looks like it is already maintained by someone |
Hi Anthony I would be happy to pick up a number of these for ongoing maintenance as they align with my interests/usage of Chocolatey. Just for clarity how would you like these handled once they are migrated across, specifically:
If you would be able to add me as a package maintainer (ChocoIatey user dgalbraith) I will pick those listed below up: David PS. Many thanks for settup up all of these packages in the first place - I know that I have certainly used and appreciated a number of them! (https://chocolaty.org/profiles/dgalbraith)
|
@dgalbraith I will add you as a maintainer and remove myself. Don't worry about a PR, I'll remove the source here. Next time you push a package update, include a new package repository URL. Thank you! |
I ready to take over the wudt package |
@AnthonyMastrean I have just been through a series of maintainer requests, and I have added @dgalbraith as a maintainer of the above packages. I have left you as a maintainer on the packages, leaving you to decide whether you want to remove yourself from the package. Thank you so much for all of your hard work as a maintainer of Chocolatey packages over the years, I really appreciate it! I hope that you and your family are doing well during this global crisis, and I hope to see you continuing to maintain Chocolatey packages in the future. |
@gep13 Thank you. @AnthonyMastrean I have now migrated the package source/history to dgalbraith/chocolatey-packages for the packages that I am picking up. I am tracking the migration under dgalbraith/chocolatey-packages/issues/181 and will mark them off as they are addressed. A few points to note around the packages that I initially requested to take over:
Thanks |
@stadub thank you! looks like @dgalbraith claimed it already, check on his repository for updates and see if you can contribute PRs if the package is not automatic? |
@dgalbraith I removed myself from the listed packages and removed them from this repository. Thank you very much! |
@AnthonyMastrean I’m willing to take over maintenance of bind‑toolsonly (#393) and migrating it to https://github.com/chocolatey-community/chocolatey-coreteampackages. My profile: https://chocolatey.org/profiles/ExE-Boss |
@ExE-Boss Looks like I handed it to zippy1981, but it's still out of date and the package source URL still points here. I would recommend starting a conversation with him via the contact page. If you want to get the package into the chocolatey-community and publish updates from there, I'm sure you could guide that process. |
@AnthonyMastrean I took over RPCS3 a little while ago, so that one can be crossed off the list. |
Is there any news about bind-toolsonly? We need the update urgently, the current version didn't work on the latest Windows anymore. |
@zippy1981 and @pauby are currently listed as the package maintainers for the package so I would suggest reaching out via the contact maintainers link on the package page. @ExE-Boss has also generated a patch to update in PR#1598 if you are in a position to patch locally this may be an option. |
I'll have a look at this asap. |
@AnthonyMastrean - I'll grab modernmix from you. thanks! virtualex |
If it wasn't obvious already, due to global and personal circumstances, I am no longer able to maintain these packages at a reasonable level. I plan on possibly unlisting some of these, definitely removing my name from the maintainers list, and deleting or archiving this repository.
Please leave a comment to indicate which package you'd like to takeover and let's make sure your name gets on the package and the code gets into your repository.
